Positive at Work

Information on protection from discrimination at work, the Equality Act 2010 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1985.

Finances

Information and support on the current benefit system in relation to living with HIV. Also includes information on pensions, life insurance, wills, and power of attorney.

Housing

Information for people who are facing difficulties with their current accommodation or in finding suitable, affordable housing.

Travel

Information to consider if you are thinking about travelling outside the UK – for work, holidays, or visiting family / friends.

Asylum Seekers & Refugees

Information and advice for people living with HIV who are in the process of applying for leave to stay in the UK or have recently been granted leave to remain.

The Forge Centre

The social work team based at the Forge Centre in Sheffield can provide emotional support as well as more practical support and advice, including help with referrals to other services and advocacy support.

SHIELD

Shield’s aim is to support people to maintain their independence and delivers free activities addressing all aspects of health and social care including social groups and drop-in sessions.
