SHIELD

Shield is a voluntary sector organisation that offers support to people living with or affected by HIV in South Yorkshire and provides free activities and assistance on all aspects of health and social care.

The main services provided by Shield are:

• Social activities/ group sessions
• Drop-in advice sessions
• Lunch clubs
• Home and hospital visits
• Complementary therapies
• Access to on-site gym facilities
• Counselling
• Hardship assistance – including food and toiletry hampers
• Individual support plans
• Education and training programmes
